Memorial Day

We had a fun day with yesterday. In the morning we met Kyle's family at the Payson cemetary to visit Amy's grave, and several others. It was a beautiful day so we took our time walking around. We missed Tyler and Ashley who were in St. George for the weekend, and Justin and Leslie who are in Peru.

Afterward we went to Kyle's parents for a bbq and also celebrated Stockton's birthday which is on Wednesday. Kyle and his brothers used this as an excuse to take to take the nephews laser tagging, and Abby and Lydie decided they wanted in on the fun so they went as well . That left Amber, Stacy and I (and Bentlee) alone so we decided we'd better have some fun too. The boys sent us these pictures while we were getting pedicures. I love how Abby and Lyd are holding hands in the group picture.

After that, Ryan's family came over to swim for a little bit, and then Kyle and I went on a date. It was the first time we've been out just the two of us since Bentlee was born. My Aunt Linda baby-sat. We're grateful for family and friends that are willing beg to watch Bentlee!

Bentlee's first cabin trip

Last weekend we went up to Strawberry for the night. Bentlee picked up on the rules of the cabin right away and did exactly what the rest of us do. Eat and relax.

My heart melted when I saw her Uncle Andy loving on her. He was the first to scoop her up and held her for a long time. Didn't even set her down to eat his supper!

It was chilly that night until we got the fire going. She looked like a little chipmunk all bundled up.

We squeezed in some Uno while we watched Uncle Buck, which also happens every cabin trip. EVERY cabin trip. You can guess where most of my husband's favorite quotes come from.

Kyle, Lee, Andy, Amber and the kids went fishing Saturday morning while Maxyne and I cleaned, played diggers with Peyton, and snuggled Bentlee.

5 weeks

She's 6 1/2 weeks now, but these pictures were taken about a week or two ago.

3-4 weeks

I have tons of  random pictures I haven't posted so I'm doing a little backtracking.

When she's crying and we give her her binkie, she makes THE cutest little sound. I can't explain it, and the video is short and doesn't quite do it justice but you'll get the idea.

My friend took this one the day of her blessing. Precious, or precious??

Bentlee smiling

Her smile at the end will be worth the dizziness you feel from watching this video. Promise.

Bentlee Amy Haskell

I just realized I never posted about Bentlee's name, which is really special because she is named after her Aunt Amy, whom we can't wait to tell her all about some day. We know without a doubt that she is one of Bentlee's angels watching over her.

She is also named after her Grandpa (Lee), her Nana (Jennifer Lee) and her aunt Stephanie (Stephanie Lee). These 4 wonderful people mean so much to us and we hope that she will use them as role models throughout her life.
